Flat-Earthers Just Held A Conference. Their Latest Theory Is Seriously Incredible
Flat-Earthers from around the globe have gathered once again for a conference. Over 200 people attended the conference in Birmingham, UK, hundreds of years after people first circumnavigated the Earth, and thousands of years after we discovered that it was round.
As you’d expect from flat-Earth conspiracy theorists, there were many strange theories at the conference. When you’re claiming that the Earth is a big circle rather than a sphere, your theory needs a lot of other weird sub-theories to back it up.
Hence why people claim that there is a wall around the Earth, or that rocket launches are faked by shooting them in reverse.
This conference was no exception. One speaker even explained how we’re all living in a Pac-Man world.
One speaker at the conference said that he had proved that gravity doesn’t exist.
“My research destroys Big Bang cosmology,” speaker David Marsh claimed, the Telegraph reports. “It supports the idea that gravity doesn’t exist and the only true force in nature is electromagnetism.”
Yes, the only thing keeping you attached to the planet is magnets.
Marsh claims this based on “experiments” he conducted in his own back garden, whilst being held in his garden by gravity. He explained at the conference that using a Nikon camera and a mobile app he tracked the movements of the Moon across the sky, and disproved the laws of planetary motion.
Now if you think that’s pushing it, brace yourselves because this is where it gets really weird.
Flat-Earther Darren Nesbit explained to the audience that people may not have met a wall or the edge of the planet on their travels because of the “Pac-Man effect”.
“We know that continuous east-west travel is a reality,” he said, The Age reports, acknowledging that this needs explaining in flat-Earther theory.
“One logical possibility for those who are truly free thinkers is that space-time wraps around and we get a Pac-Man effect.”
Basically, at the end of the Earth, spacetime ends. Rather than falling off the edge of the world, you are placed at the opposite end of the map just like Pac-Man or Pac-Man’s ghosts.
Elsewhere, an old flat-Earther theory has resurfaced and is being spread around the Internet again. In order to explain people living on the other side of the planet, it appears that flat-Earthers continue to believe that Australia doesn’t exist.
The theory has been around for a while, but has been resurrected by flat-Earthers and spread around again, to the dismay of Australians everywhere.
The post has been shared by several flat-Earther groups, who couldn’t risk Pac-Manning their way across the flat Earth in order to attend the conference.
